自然科学の法則の内容で天文学と占星学を比較できないとしても取り扱う人間の技術的な問題には共通した
ものがあるはずです。自然科学を人間が取り扱うのに「工学」という学問があります。電気や機械は物理学
の法則を使用しますが人間がテレビや自動車を製造する場合は人間が取り扱いやすいように目的にあわせた
規則や手段を電気工学や機械工学で定めます。工学という学問で人間が取り扱う数字には必ず有効数字という使用
限度を定める基準があります。たとえば、円周率を数学で取り扱う場合には桁数の制限を設けませんが、
土木工事や建物を建築する場合は3.14という「３桁の数字」を有効数字として考えて、それ以上の桁数の
精密で細かい数字を工学では使用しません。
ですから、占星学で人間が使用する数字の精度についても再検討が必要です。
The arts of astrology and astronomy are both the learning of human skill even though related
background of science is different each other. There is the field of science called technology.
For example, human produces either televisions or automobiles with the aid of technology which
is studied on the basement of physics but with the particular conventions or rules to handle
the art specified. In the technology, we use the significant figures in three digits in
general. In case of the ratio of a circle to its diameter for example, art of mathematics
places no limit but the art of technology sets three digits limit or 3.14. In human art of
technology, we disregard precise calculation for figures exceeding three digits at the
most settled. This must be also valid in astrology.
電気工学や機械工学が人間の取り扱う限度を３桁の有効数字に限定しているように占星学が取り扱う数字の
限度を３桁の有効数字にすることを提唱します。占星学で取り扱う天空の範囲は360度ですから360度の千分
の一は 360ｘ60 / 1000 ＝ 21.6分（約 0.36度）になります。ですから占星学の計算を精密にする限度は21.6分(概略22分、すなわち 0.36度）です。
筆者が発表したオーブを狭くする研究で、コンピュータを使用した精密な計算の結果、オーブを狭くする限度を二分
の一度以下にすると占星学の判定が不安定になるのは、占星学の有効数字が21.6分(約 0.36度）であるということを証明
するものです。（分割調波２・参照）
Similarly as found in either the electrical or mechanical engineering, the limit of figures
in the art of astrology will be set inside the significant figure in three digits. As
astrology handles three hundred sixty degrees span of the sky, one thousands of this span
will be 360 x 60 / 1000 = 21.6 minutes, therefore it is the limit of accuracy in calculation
assumed. This value is evidenced in the study of H. M. “Gen” ISHIKAWA with an aid of
the most accurate calculation supported by the modern computer analysis for the reduced
value of orbs in which the orb of aspect in one half degree or less will not be practical as
examined by the art of astrology in which its judgment becomes unstable.
従来、コンピュータのホロスコープ作成で計算途中の数字の四捨五入の作業の中で、天体位置を次のサイン
に侵入させないために29度59分59秒の数字を繰り上げしないという約束がありましたが、
今後は天体の
計算の度数桁未満をすべて四捨五入の計算にして、29度の余剰計算はすべて打ち切り計算にするべきです。
無意味な数字の使用を避けるため占星学が取り扱う有効数字の限度は21.6分（約 0.36度）であることを理解しなければ
なりません。ですから、占星学の天体その他の計算で約22分（ 0.36度）未満の細かい数字は切り捨てるべきです。
It has been the common technique in the computer aided horoscopes that the figure in process
on twenty nine degrees fifty nine minutes and fifty nine seconds keeps inside the same sign
during the process of round off performed. From now on, we will keep the figures within the
value of the degree range and round off the minute or less processed. We must avoid the
unwanted confusion aroused from handling the precise figures in the value of 21.6 minutes or one third of one degree that is assumed to the limit of significant figures in three digits or twenty two minutes, which is specified
for the art of astrology in the calculation of charts placed.
従来の分秒単位を計算したコンピュータ計算の分割調波ではオーブを１度にしましたが、３０分（ 0.5度）を計算限度にした
新しい分割調波を使用した場合に、オーブの判断がどのようになるのかを次ページ以下に紹介する例で
詳細に説明します。
