エジプトは建国の歴史が古い国で初期王朝は紀元前2900年（約四千九百年まえ）ころに形成されたといいます。
そして、クレオパトラがローマ軍に滅ぼされた西暦30年までの約三千年の長い間、途中で何回も外敵に占領
されて中断しましたが、エジプトの命運をつなぎとめた世界でまれに見る長い歴史を誇っています。しかし、
占星学に関するエジプトの歴史はまったく別な経過をたどっているので、人々が混乱するのです。
The country of Egypt has been taking a pride of long history. The first kingdom has appeared in
about 2900 BC or some forty nine hundred years ago established. The long history of some three
thousand year duration that was terminated by the defeat of Kleopatra VII in Roman attack should
be a distinguished history of the world longest although several of breaks by the invasions suffered
from the outside enemy forces incurred. Confusing enough, with regard to the history of astrology
in Egypt, we see entirely different phases of progress found.
紀元前の時期には、エジプト人の占星学に対する寄与はほとんど発見できません。わずかな資料によると
プトレマイオス３世(283 – 247 BC)の時代に天文学者が新しい星を発見して、その星が不吉な星なので
第３次シリア戦争でエジプト軍が敗北したというのです。この時代にはメソポタミアでは占星学が非常に
発達していて個人の出生時期のホロスコープも作成
されていたのですが、エジプトの記録は
発見した新星の位置が不吉な場所であるという程度の初期の占星学の知識です。エジプトでの出生図の
作成の記録はすべて、紀元前100年以降の新しい時代のものです。
Before the age of Christ, we see seldom contribution of Egyptians in astrology. To look at a few of
works of Egyptian, we can see the report of an astronomer who observed a new star in the age of
Ptolemaios III (283 – 247 BC) by telling that as the new star was found in the unlucky position
therefore the Egyptian army was defeated by enemy in the third Syrian war. We see the Egyptian
report was described with the primitive knowledge of astrology learnt. On the other hand, the
astrology in MESOPOTAMIA by that time was already developed to predict on a personal
horoscope described.
The horoscope type astrology was only found in Egypt after
the first century before Christ born.
アレキサンダー大王はインド東征後にエジプトを征服しメソポタミアのバビロニアで紀元前323年に死去しますが、
その後の混乱期を経て、プトレマイオス王朝がエジプトを支配します。ギリシャの衰退、バビロニアの崩壊を経て、
エジプトに中近東の文化が集中して、西暦200年ころには、エジプトでギリシャ時代の文化のヘレニズムが最盛期
を迎えるという一見矛盾した現象が発生します。ギリシャのアレキサンダー大王の名前を冠した都市のエジプトの
アレキサンドリアで多数のギリシャ語の図書が発行され、ギリシャ語がエジプトの公用語になりました。
Alexandros the Great died in 323 BC in Babylonia after his triumph in India and Egypt. After a confusion
for a time, Ptolemaios First has dominated Egypt by BC 323. By taking a favorable chance for Egypt where
the descendant of Grecian domination as well as the destruction of Babylonian cities combined, almost all
civilization of the West Asia has been flowed in Egypt. By the year of 200 AD, we saw the Hellenism of Greek art
at the highest in its prosperity in Egypt established. Under the name of Grecian king of Alexandros, the city of
Alexandria in Egypt has become the center of Grecian civilization that we found so many books written in
the Greek words were published in Egypt that should be confusing enough. Greek became the official
language in Egypt registered.
オリゲネス(185 – 254)はアレキサンドリアの古代キリスト教の神学者ですが、キリストが十字架で死んだのは
キリスト誕生のときに立ち会った東方の三学者が占星学の知識で、生まれた子供が世界の王になると予言した
ためであるという説を公表しました。オリゲネスの説に刺激された暴徒が西暦288年ころから数回にわたり
当時の占星学の研究所になっていたアレキサンドリアの図書館を襲撃して、５万巻という多数の図書を焼き捨てて、
多数の占星学者を惨殺しました。このために、トレミーのテトラビブロス（４巻の書）の第４巻の一部が
焼失して失われました。
アレキサンドリア図書館の火災については、戦争による被害などの諸説がありますが、
当時の古代文化の集積が失われた損失の大きさには誰も異論がありません。
Origenes (185 – 254) was a famous theosophist of Alexandria. As he described that the crucify of Christ came
from the foretell made by the art of astrology of three scholars from East who have predicted the fate of a baby
to be the king of the world, the rioters persuaded have attacked the libraries of Alexandria in 288 through several
years by burning out total of fifty thousand of books and have killed many scholars of astrology. In such fires,
the famous book of Ptolemy or TETRABIBLOS with four chapters has lost the last several pages.
With regard to
the fires of the libraries in Alexandria, there are many descriptions such as the causation incurred from the
war or others released but no one has placed an opposition on the huge losses of ancient literatures lost there.
