図は仏教の世界観を示すマンダラ図形です。京都の東寺（とうじ）に多数のマンダラ図形が残っていて公開
され、図はその一部を示すものです。仏教の世界観によれば、すべてのものは仏様（ほとけさま）の形で表現
されるのです。全宇宙を示す如来（にょらい）が中央に描かれています。如来の体内に、それぞれの小宇宙を
示す多数の菩薩（ぼさつ）が存在します。それぞれの菩薩の体内には人間世界のそれぞれの事柄を示す仏教の
神々（かみがみ）が存在しています。図で四角な枠を中央から外部に向かって設けて、その仏教思想の入れ子
の構造を表現しています。
The above illustration is a copy of partial view of historical MANDALA of Buddhism or Hinduism
that is demonstrated at the temple TOHJI of Kyoto Japan. A circle contains a symbol of BUDDHA that will
represent either material universe or world of human. Symbolized square blocks indicate the nested
sets that represent the larger universe in the center, smaller universe in out side and human world
in still outer place respectively exhibited.
今から約二千五百年前のインド北部で始まった仏教の考え方は古代人の思想が身の回りの人間世界をモデルに
しているとはいえ、現在の自然科学の知識で考えても合理的なものです。われわれの住む銀河系宇宙と同じ
規模の宇宙は何千も存在するのですが、われわれの人間の体より小さいミクロの宇宙も多数研究されています。
マンダラ図形は象徴的な図形ですが、現実の世の中も箱の中には小さい箱、その箱の中にはさらに小さい箱と
言うように、入れ子の構造になっているのです。そして、この古典的な入れ子構造が新しいフラクタル数学の
特徴である自己相似性の基本なのです。
Although the philosophy of Buddhism that was originated by the ancient people living in northern
part of India in about twenty five hundred years ago and their idea was based on personal matters,
the metaphor story of Buddhism on the nested sets of universe will be reasonable. Nowadays science
tells us the existence of several thousand of similar scale of star groups in the outside other than our
Milky Way of Galaxy and also another existence of several many units of smaller micro world around
human expounded. Thus our human world consists of typical nested sets of existences. Furthermore,
the nested sets are the fundamental concept based in new FRACTAL geometry explored.
