天文学との関係１・ASTROLOGY vs ASTRONOMY 1

天文学も占星学もともに天体を取り扱う学問ですが、天体観測の結果を整理する方法が全く相違します。
天文学では、ある特定の天体を観測した場合に、原則として、その天体に直接影響を与える少数の他の天体
を研究の対象にします。これに対して、占星学では、天空に存在している多くの天体相互の関係を研究する
とともに、地球的な要素についても天体と同じ基準で研究の対象にします。
天文学では、地球の存在が観測の結果になるべく影響を与えないように努力しますが、占星学の場合には、
地球上の人間生活との係わり合いが重要な研究目的になりますから、常に地球との関連を意識して研究します。
Both kinds of study of Astronomy and Astrology have been dealing with the research of stars in heaven.
Still, there are found wide difference in the systems of research. Astronomy looks for a star and related
small rage of surrounding effect on this star affected. Astrology looks for the wide rage of sky and studies
the multiple effects of aspects and others given from many other stars and the items related to the earth.
In the study of astronomy, the researcher will be careful to avoid any disturbances given from the earth.
Instead, in the study of astrology, the researcher will always in mind the existence of the global effect as
the effect related to the earth must be the major target of research in the art specified.
一部の占星学研究者がホロスコープに地球の記載がないという意見を発表しましたが、ホロスコープ自身が
地球を意識して作成する図面であることを理解しない愚かな誤解です。地球の大円の図
で明瞭に示したように、
天文学では天体の投影点Ｅの近傍の状況を研究しますが、占星学では、天体の投影点Ｅだけでなくて、その他の
遠く離れた他の天体との間に形成されるアスペクトを研究します。さらに占星学では、地球的な要素の
アセンダント（ＡＳＣ）やエム・シー（ＭＣ）などの諸要素を天体と同時に検討をします。複数の天体の
組み合わせが地球上の特定な場所と時刻に限定されることは最古のホロスコープの例でも明らかです。
There was a certain comment from a few astrologers that the horoscope did not contain the place of

いまから約2500年前のギリシャのピタゴラス(BC582-BC493)の時代以降に、人々はものごとを論理的に整理するよう
になりました。それまでの人間は経験によって知識を広めてきましたが、ギリシャ時代以後は理屈をつけて
考えるようになりました。ギリシャ人は当時知識の集積であった「星占い」に星の学問アストロ・ロジィー
占星学という名称を与えました。その後約400年を経て、ヒッパルコスが天体観測で歳差を発見したころ
に天文学が発達したので、天文学には論理・学問という名称ではなくて、観測技術を表現する一部門という
意味の言葉・アストロ・ノミーが与えられました。
Human came to consider the matters with the logical reason since after the era of Pythagoras
(BC582-BC493) Greek figured. Before such era, people have acquired the knowledge only by
empirical experiences of themselves encountered. Grecian have defined the word astrology for
the knowledge indicating the influences of the stars rendered to the life of human guessed.
Such knowledge was assembled with the stars in the heaven compiled during long years of
experiences of fortune telling art since ancient originated. Some four hundred years after
Pythagoras, Hipparchus found the effect of precession during his observation of stars found.
And the word of astronomy was nominated for the art of observation of stars that was not
for the logical knowledge but the technical art of skill acquired.
天文学は天体の種類を細かく分類します。この方法は植物学や動物学に類似して、分類の限界を特別に意識しています。
これに対して、占星学では、天体の種類を周期的に大きく移動する天体と移動量が小さい固定的な天体の2種類に
分けますが、細かな分類にこだわりません。この占星学のやりかたは物理学が使用している方法と同じです。
物理学では、
物質の種類を固体、液体、気体、粘体などに分けますが、その分類は絶対的なものではありません。
物理学は物質の分類を考えるよりも、物質の性質を深く考えますから、分類の限界を特別には意識していません。
The system of astronomy is comprised from the grouping of the classified items. This system of study has
a strong resemblance to the systems of botany and zoology studied. In these studies, the border line between
two types of classification will become the major agenda of discussion. Contrary to astronomy, astrology is
dealing with two types of stars, one is moving periodically and the other is stationed at a moment. The system of
astrology has a strong resemblance to the system of physics. In physics, the tentative classification of material in
a solid, a liquid, a vapor and a viscous will not be the essential character but the material may change from one to
another according to the condition encountered. The major target of research of physics is the exploration of
the detailed character of items and not on the discussion of the classification studied.
