As already has pointed out previously, the ancient records in Egypt have been concentrated in the
astronomical description with reference to the calendar systems mostly concerned. There was a famous
priest named PETOSIRIS who lived in the fourth century BC. He has named twenty nine gods for the
Moon mansions selected. The nowadays Chinese system of Moon mansions in twenty eight names of gods
was found in the excavated articles in the tomb of YI, the Marquis of ZENG in china of 423 BC evidenced.
The earlier records from Arabian countries and India would be enough to offset the Egyptian records for
the oldest description in the Moon mansion system explored.
Nowadays sidereal systems in some countries including India are using the fixed spring Ingress type
calendars based on the fifteen degrees Taurus. That has come from a tradition of Egypt in 2,000 BC
where many pyramids were built in accordance with the information given by the traditional astronomy
that was said to be based on the point of spring equinox set in fifteen degrees of Taurus. As already described,
the place of sky bodies will shift its place in about one degree or more for each one hundred years elapsed.
Thus any fortune telling systems except for the western style of precession type astrology will need to
prepare for a new system to compensate the previous shift of stars observed.
We are lucky to
use the established system in the western astrology where the equinox point will move automatically settled.
It has been the established custom in the Sumerian people to respect the planet Jupiter and Venus.
The Sumerians the commercial and trade races have traveled at night and worked in daytime in
trade business at the destination dealt. They did not respect the Sun as it works only daytime and rest
idle at night. The Moon is changing its shape and it was not reliable for the Sumerians.
As the mythology
of Greek people has been affected by the Sumerian style of life,
the Greek has invented the
precession system developed. On the other hand, we see no other development of astronomical precession
in Egypt although Ptolemy had referred to the astronomy of Greek in twelve-sign system released.
It would come from the life style of Egyptian who was afraid for the floods of Nile river.
And the Egyptian has lived mostly on agricultural products cultivated. For the people of agricultural life,
the Sun and the Moon are essentially important but these heavenly bodies will be affected very little from
the astronomical precession involved.
