John M. Addey (1920-1982) has studied new type of astrological prediction system calculated on the
value of ascendant or ASC as one part of a practical example of his harmonics in astrology released.
Harmonics in astrology was first developed by ancient Indian people and we can find a practical system
in nowadays Hindu astrology performed. Addey has developed his unique system in the harmonics in
astrology that is quite useful for modern system of new astrology.
The value of either natal ASC or natal Jupiter is multiplied by the age of a person.
This person will
encounter the luck moment of life at the age that makes conjunction aspect between multiplied ASC
and multiplied Jupiter formed. During the life of a person, this conjunction is seldom formed. For
instance, Gerald Ford has been served as the chairman of the U.S. Congress and he became first
appointed vice president of U.S. in October 1973 as the successor of former Vice-President resigned.
As Ford became 38th president of U.S. in 1974, his lucky chance in 1973 was marked evident.
According to Addey, the lucky chance of Ford in 1973 was predicted astrologically. Of course, any terms
of lucky chance could be discontinued by changing the life target of human.
Gerald Ford was born in July 14, 1913 with ASC in 12 Taurus 12 and Jupiter in 11 Aries 50. Therefore,
his 60th ASC is 12 Aries and his 60th Jupiter is 20 Pisces. Addey has suggested this difference in
22 degrees at the age of 60 that makes 22 minutes at birth can be employed for the rectification of birth time.
For this suggestion of Addey, I cannot agree him because of the significant limit of figures.
As already has described in the pages of Divisional Harmonics, we human set the limit of figures to avoid
unnecessary works of calculation in practice performed. For the calculation of astrology, twenty two minutes
in natal chart must be the limit of accuracy. Therefore, we must not try the rectification of birth moment of
Ford further.
